Two years after their inaugural album, Little Comets have finally satisfied the demand for a follow-up with Life Is Elsewhere. The sophomore album is the perfect compliment to their introductory release, featuring the harmonies, catchy uptempo instrumentals, and poetic lyrics we came to appreciate with In Search of Elusive Little Comets. The unique harmonizing of Robert Coles’ lead vocals seamlessly blend with the backup ensemble’s chorus and guitar’s harmonic swings, creating a sense of depth that moves in layered unity.
The album starts strong with A Little Opus and doesn’t let up till the final lingering note of Bridge Burn. Each song doesn’t venture too far from one another, but curiously doesn’t blend or tire. No two songs are too similar and each track is unique enough to keep you interested.
